...Of The Week: April 30th to May 6th

...Of The Week is CB40's look back at the past week, including the best dunk, stat-line, clutch play, and blunder of the week.

Hit the jump for this week's round up...

It was a gooooood week for dunking in the NBA, with playoff games bringing heightened intensity and dunking prowess. Shout outs this week go to Anthony on Anthony (Carmelo on Joel that is) who threw down in a Game 1 loss to the Heat, and to DeAndre Jordan who basically murdered a helpless Tony Allen on the Lob City connection from Chris Paul. But, it was J.R. Smith who went "Hard In Tha Paint" with a crazy 180 windmill in the key vs. the Heat. That is just grossly nice...

Many players went H.A.M. this week, from point guard to center and all positions in between. Shout outs to Andrew Bynum, who went for 10 points, 13 boards, and a playoff record-tying 10 blocks, LeBron, who went for 32 points, 4 boards, 3 assists, and 4 steals on 10 of 14 shooting from the field, and Carmelo Anthony who went off for 41, 6 boards, and 4 assists on 15 of 29 shooting. However, as good as these lines were, they are not up to par with Kevin Durant who, in a Game 3 victory vs. the Mavericks scored 31 points on 11 of 15 shooting, going 4 for 6 from three, and 5 for 7 for free throws, with 3 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, with only one turnover.

This week, there are none of the usual culprits of hitting clutch shots, with Kobe, LeBron, DIrk, and KD being fairly quiet. Although James Harden hit some clutch free throws, the award this week goes to Nick Young, who hit two clutch threes in The Clippers' epic comeback against the Grizzlies.

Another easy choice for the "Kanye Moment" this week...it's Amar'e Stoudemire no doubt. In case you haven't heard, this guy punched the glass surrounding a fire extinguisher, which required a helluva lot of stitches, and made him miss a crucial Game 3, which the Knicks lost to go down 3-0. Whaddayadoin Amar'e!
