He shows flashes of good work, and those are the songs I've included. Stuff that I feel shows a nice (and improving) flow, and gets close to the level he achieved on the "Successful" remix. I think that's his rap song at the moment, though I'd happily be pointed to some shit that's better.
I'm tired, sick, and I just want to watch a movie, so there'll be little talking, and a lot of Youtube links. The first batch of Soulja's best rapping performances, basically his best rap songs, after the jump.
Song: Kill Bill
Lazy, monotonous flow, but a quite entertaining performance.
Song: The World So Cold
This is a glimpse into some alternate world where Soulja is the voice of his generation. Substance in your music is NEVER a bad thing. Tough beat too.
Song: 2 Milli
Song: 2 Milli
After he compares himself to Nasir (eeek!) and then kicks his intermission, it actually gets nice. I swear.
Song: Successful (Remix)
The gem of the collection.
Song: Ice Cream Paint Job (Remix)
There's a chance me sniffling right now would sound dope over this instrumental, but Soulja is nice here. Sometimes he actually delivers some pretty clever punchlines, and when he spits with energy, the outcome can be pretty good.
Song: The Grind
Curren$y-ish? That's what dude says. Either way, still nice. And that hook gets me.
Song: Outerspace Flow
Back with that monotonous, Erkel flow, but somehow it works here. Make sure you stop it before Arab gets on the mic. For serious.
