Jay Jones - "Solo"

Here at KWT, we've always made a conscious effort to post  unsigned, up and coming artists that many sites don't give much of a chance. But that's not to say we'll throw anything up on the blog as long as it's underground, not at all. As many emails as we get in any given day, you'd think most of the submissions would be talentless, forgettable, garbage. Quite the contrary, actually, and this kid Jay Jones is a perfect example.

The young Houston native is proud to be from the Durrrrrrrty South, and his music shows it. Not sure if dude produces himself, but Jones flows over this obviously K.R.I.T. inspired beat with a raw, grimy sound that's got me making that "always lookin' like somebody stinks" face.  This joint appeared on Jones' most recent Real, Vol. 3 mixtape, which I've included below as well as the single "Solo" download, just in case you're left wanting more. I know I was.
