...Of The Week: April 22nd to 29th

...Of The Week is CB40's look back at the past week, including the best dunk, stat-line, clutch play, and blunder of the week.

The "Hard In Tha Paint" award goes to the player with the best dunk of the week, in the past 7 days starting from Sunday of the previous week. Darryl Dawkins got the privilege of gracing the artwork for the award, as he shattered two backboards in one season. I'd say that that's going pretty hard in the paint. Anyways, shouts outs this week go to Amare Stoudemire for that dunk, and JJ Hickson for that crowning. But, the Dunk of the Week goes to Kevin Durant, for doing this to JaVale McGee. Durant gets by Andre Miller, and takes off to crown the seven-foot athletic McGee, after which he strolls to the free throw line after stealing McGee's pride, at least whatever he had left...

The "H.A.M." award goes to the player who went hard as a muthafucka on the stat sheet and can claim the best statline of the week. Factors for getting the award includes points, rebounds, assists, blocks and steals, with field goal percentage, threes made, and turnovers as tie-breaking factors. Shouts outs to Paul George who went for 27 points, 10 boards, 4 assists, 3 steals and only one turnover, and Ben Uzoh (this is him by the way) who had 12 points, 11 boards, 12 assist, 4 steals, and 1 block, and two turnovers. But, the H.A.M. award of the week goes to Chris Paul, who had 33 points on 8 of 18 shooting, going 17 for 19 from the free throw line, adding 13 assists, 4 rebounds, and a ridiculous 8 steals, with only two turnovers.

The "Cold As Ice" award goes to the player who came up the most clutch in crunch time in the past week. Factors determining the winner include time remaining, game situation (how much they are down by), and difficulty of the shot that was made. Honourable Mentions this week include Kobe Bryant, who hit a crazy shot to put the Lakers up, and Joe Johnson who iced the Clips. But the winner this week goes to Kevin Durant who, in the playoffs, with one second left, hit an impossible floater/jump shot for the win against the Mavs.

The "Kanye Moment," named after the infamous, overblown incident that occurred at some awards show I didn't watch, is awarded to the player who has the "What are you doing?!?!" play of the week. This week, it is no question who the recipient is, Metta World Peace. For a second, Ron Artest came out and decided to almost decapitate James Harden. Rightfully he was suspended 7 games. Whaddayadoin Metta!
