Well Paris is now Precious, which is different, but she's still that chick from Queens who spits raw crack.

 

I was going to wax poetic about how any sort of rise for her is tied directly to 50's resurgence, but then I got a look at her Datpiff numbers (her current tape From Paris With Love), and I'm now reconsidering. Sure, you should probably take Datpiff numbers with a grain of salt, the same way you should take WSHH numbers with a kilo of salt, but her views and downloads are pretty healthy. I used to think "fuck, I wish I'd been around back when somebody could do a dope guest verse and make a career of that" but I think those days are still aroudn. Maybe to a lesser extent, but still, I'm betting 90% of that interest stems from her high-profile guest spot on 50's comeback tape. I mean, she absolutely batted that shit out of the park. Go check it out now, if you haven't. There's no need to go into specifics; that was a hot verse. Fuck, who knows, maybe the Fif resurgence will arrive and Paris will blow up G-Unit style.

And if it doesn't? I'm thinking Paris Precious Paris will be just fine, regardless.
