Q-Tip Inks with G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam

On the day after his birthday, legendary hip hop artist and producer Q-Tip announced that he has officially signed with G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam. The former A Tribe Called Quest member is still going hard, as he's set to release a solo effort The Last Zulu next year.

This is a great move, in my opinion, by Ye and company, and Tip packs the dual threat of rapper/producer. While Q's emceeing is always top notch, I really like what he can bring to the G.O.O.D. table in terms of beatmaking, as the roster continues to bolster their production team with Yeezy, Hit-Boy, and the recently inked Lifted already onboard. I'm definitely eager to hear more tracks like the G.O.O.D. Friday joint "Chain Heavy," which Q-Tip produced.
