...Of The Week: May 14th to May 20th

...Of The Week is CB40's look back at the past week, including the best dunk, stat-line, clutch play, and blunder of the week.

Hit the jump to see what went down in the week that was...featuring KD, LeBron, KG, and many more.

This week provided many dunks, with the playoff-induced adrenaline giving a little extra lift to the players remaining. Shout outs this week go to LeBron, who had a ferocious, lefty throwdown in a Game 3 loss to the Pacers, and to Kevin Durant, who had an unbelievable week in regards to cramming, with a lefty slam on the second basket that OKC scored in Game 1 vs. the Lakers, a dunk where he slashed through the trees of Bynum and Jordan Hill, and a fastbreak (see at 0:40) dunk where he took off from waaaay out. That being said, this week's award goes to Blake Griffin, who switched to his left hand to dunk on Tim Duncan in a Game 3 loss to the Spurs.

The best statline of this week is the best of all of the H.A.M. awards that I have given out, and it just happened. But anyways, the honourable mentions this week go to Russell Westbrook who had 37 points, 5 assists, and 2 boards on 15 of 26 shooting in Game 4, and 27 points, 9 assists, and 7 boards on 10 of 15 shooting in Game 1, Tim Duncan, who had 26 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, and two blocks in a Game 1 victory vs. the Clippers, and to Kevin Garnett who had 29 points, 11 boards, an assist, a steal, and three blocks in Game 1 vs. the Sixers. That being said, no one compares to what LeBron just did to the Indiana Pacers in the Heat's game 4 victory. LBJ scored 40 points on 14 of 27 shooting, going 12 of 16 from the line, while adding a ridiculous 18 rebounds, and nine assists, to go with 2 steals and 2 blocks. Insane statline, just insane.

No buzzer-beating, game-winners this week, but there was still some cold-blooded daggers put into the heart of the opposing teams. Shout out to Andre Iguodala, who hit an extremely contested shot vs. the Celtics with 45 seconds left to put them up by five, essentially icing the game. But the award this week goes to Kevin Durant, who hit a dagger pull-up three over Metta World Peace to put the Thunder up three vs. the Lakers with only 13 seconds left.

No one was exceptionally idiotic in the NBA this week, but there is still an award to give out so...here it is. This week, a student from San Antonio, who is 12 years old, shaved a portrait of his favourite player, fellow red-head Matt Bonner, and got suspended for it. But the good part was that he got free tickets to some Spurs' games. The Kanye Moment therefore goes to the school that suspended this student simply for an expression of his fandom. Whaddayadoin' school board!
