When you have two teams in the Conference Finals that are as athletic as Miami and OKC, there will be highlights, good ones. This week was no different. Shout outs go to Tim Duncan, who surprisingly has already appeared once before, even though he is ancient, for this slam on Serge Ibaka. Shout outs also to Russell Westbrook who flew over the Spurs, to Brandon Bass who crushed the ball vs. the Heat, and to Dwyane Wade, who split the screen and crammed in Game 7. However, LeBron had an amazing week of dunks, including a nice alley-oop from Wade, and a huge putback, but his best dunk, and the dunk of the week goes to this dunk where LBJ crossed Brandon Bass and threw down the tomahawk jam.
Shout to Kevin Durant, who had 34 points on 9 of 17 shooting, to go with 14 boards, 5 assists, and 2 blocks. Also, Rajon Rondo had a great game in the Celtics' Game 7 loss, posted a triple double of 22 points, 14 assists, and 10 boards. But, LeBron went nuts in Game 6 vs. the Celts, and gets the award this week, going OFF with 45 points on a ridiculous 19 of 26 shooting, with 15 rebounds, and 5 assists. Wow.
This week's clutch award has to go to Paul Pierce, for a dagger three he hit in Game 5 vs. the Heat. This play was crazy, as Doc Rivers designed the play so LeBron would be guarding Pierce, that is gutsy. Pierce then drains the shot-clock, and jacks a three with LeBron contesting, and hits nothing but the bottom of the net to put the Celts up by 4 to seal the game.
