Alright last post after my onslaught of hip hop out in the world. This one must go to another Top 5 on the scene right now, Stalley. I must admit that I adore everything he does and went into this expecting to finally see what the big music industry normally does to legitimate hip hop artists. However, to my surprise Stalley delivers, as he normally does, an eloquent and fresh work honoring the tradition of the south, exhibited in his musical and lyrical styles plus cameos by Scarface and Paul Wall (he is driving the caddy). He also references his personal heroes Bun B, Pimp C, and the Geto Boys themselves. I am beyond excited to hear the debut album on August 8th and if it is more of material like this we are all in for a treat.
