Super Bowl XLVI: Giants vs. Patriots

Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday, home to the most important NFL game of the season and one of the most televised events of the year. This year, Super Bowl XLVI (that's 46 for you non-Air-Jordan collectors) features the NFC number four seed New York Giants squaring of against the AFC number one seed New England Patriots in a very intriguing "rematch" of 2007's Super Bowl XLII.

The Giants, after a roller coaster regular season that culminated with a playoff berth thanks to an atrocious NFC East, are officially 3 point underdogs to the Patriots, who finished 13-3 to dominate the AFC East and to tie the 49ers and Saints for the second best record in the league, but many feel the G-Men are the hotter team going into the matchup. What do y'all think? X-factors, MVP, final score? What're your predictions for Super Bowl XLVI? Tell us in the comments section, and hit the jump to see your boy Twaan's prediction.

This was an easy one for me. The Giants and Patriots boast comparable, explosive offenses that can score in seconds. Eli Manning, Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz. Tom Brady, Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski. This matchup is packed full of superstar offensive weapons. I think this one comes down to whoever can defend the opposing offense. The Giants' front seven speaks for itself, and compare that with the Patriots' squad, who was one of the league's softest defenses, and the choice was obvious.

My Super Bowl XLVI MVP: Victor Cruz - 7 catches, 162 yards, 2 TD
They'll most likely give it to a QB if it goes into a shootout, but I just need to see Cruz give us one more of these before he takes off in his Hyundai on the rode to Disney World.
