Verse of the Day: Nicki Minaj - "Mercy (Remix)"

Is it still Verse of the Day if it's been roughly a fucking age since the last one came out? Questions like these are hurled sullenly through bathroom doors during heated arguments at the KWTemple, and typically garner four-letter replies. However, when the tempers (and the barking dogs) die down, progress is made. Which is to say, it's been awhile, but here's another VOTD!

The verse in question, discussion, and (I promise) zero dick-shaking after the jump.

Drop it the floor make that dick shake
My home girls slurp it like a milkshake
All you niggas want some Nick cake
If you eat ass I got a thick plate

Weezy, Weezy don’t we do this very easy
I came from Trinidad on a temporary visa
Cause muthafuckers know I put the hex on bitches
I fuck a bitch over like I’m sexing bitches
Tic-tac-toe then I put the X on bitches
Point game I score who’s next you bitches
Cause all you niggas fake
And all you niggas broke
So all you niggas fuck you
All you niggas choke
Cause all you do is boast and argue over hoes
So all you niggas toast
Cause all you deep throat, word

Fuck fuck your Lambo
Fuck fuck your Merce
I got more money
In in my fucking purse

Court side you in the C Section
I’m with them bloods, you-you with the C Section
In Malibu I’m bout a sea section
And all these bitches is my sons
Yeah C-Section

I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney
You lazy bitches is fucking up the economy
Out in Miami I be chilling with a zombie
Diablo alejandro de mello gandhi

Ni-cki Meee-naj, she of big booty fame, provides one of the few highlights from D4. Are we surprised? Not particularly. Wayne's inability to catch lightning in the bottle over a full tape is sad but expected, and Nicki stays delivering the rawest verses out. If the beats G.O.O.D, Rap's Queen brings the alter egos, this time in the form of Female Weezy, and a tiny taste of Roman, I think (I'd ask you die-hard Barbies to clear-up any discrepancies but honestly you guys scare the fuck out of me). Why do I love this verse? Copping the Sean flow (which all you motherfuckers are doing these days, BOI) is classic remix territory, and works great here. The subversion of the male dominance from the original verse geeks me out too (and also is part of what makes female MCs so damn interesting). Then there's the little things: the pronunciation of visa (veezay), the flow changes (honestly, these mono-flowing males should realize variety is DOPE), and the four-line C-section sequence (plus the self-referential deconstruction of the Supa Dupa flow). Hmm, I feel like I'm forgetting something...

Oh yeah, that line the fucking President of the United States commented on.
