The coolness and complexity of Nashville continues here with Openmic. I must take a second to hate on the unimaginative nature of the name but regardless this kid is ridiculous. Nashville is parked right in the midwest drawing influence from STL, Chicago, ATL, and New York. You can here all of these influences in the music. You have big city troubles and hardships mixed with the simplicity of living here in the midwest. Seriously though, as Nashville continues to find and subsequently define its core sound we will see it become a mecca for the hip hop scene with Openmic leading the surge. Oh get past the super long introduction and listen to the tune itself.
Maybe we should all reevaluate where we are and swiftly move to Nashville to jump on this movement while it is young. Not sayin, just sayin.
