Action Bronson x Alchemist - Rare Chandeliers (Mixtape)

Just as advertised, Bam Bam Bigelow and Alchemist pair up for Rare Chandeliers, a free, 13 track mixtape featuring the likes of ScHoolboy Q, Sean Price, Evidence, and Bronson's frequent Queens running mates Roc Marciano, Meyhem Lauren and Ag Da Coroner. I'm already deeming this mixtape of the year based solely on the artwork, but Bronsolino over The Chemist's sounds are gonna be tough to top come Twaan's 2012 Wrap Up. With little prior mention of a new project on the way, Dom and his OpM roster let loose of a free, 16 track mixtape entitled Young Nation, Vol. 1. When the Leimert Park legend tweeted this photo a few days ago, I was expecting just a single, but this surprise is definitely a good one. Executive produced by both Dom and Polyester, a team that's cranked out some crazy tracks over the years, I'm already expecting big things from Young Nation prior to ever pressing play.

Rick Ross - The Black Bar Mitzvah (Mixtape)

With Adele's Skyfall theme playing in the background, I tentatively ducked into Datpiff, expecting the shit to be an Internet warzone, full of pulse-less links. However, the tape is now downloading, meaning I avoided the rush and beat the system. Victory is mine!

I'll have some thoughts about the tape up tonight or tomorrow, until then, the KWTemple will be shaking to the sound of Ricky Rozay. The next chapter has arrived.

Today, the crew surprisingly let loose of their compilation mixtape entitled HNGRY, a movement that both TiRon and Ayomari have been pushing for a while now. Shawn Chrystopher - lovestory. (Mixtape)

Shawn Chrys has been on the scene for a while now.  Another one of the young guns from Cali's new school of rappers, Shawn Chrystopher is a big deal.  His last masterpiece Silent Films for the Blind did not disappoint and Love Story doesn't either.  With features from some big names like Chi-Town's GLC and another new school Californian, Dom Kennedy, Shawn's newest projects is one to listen to.

SonReal - Good News (Mixtape)

I heard this kid a while back and was really impressed.  Enough that when his newest project Good News came out, it was good news for me and I dedicated a good amount of time to listening to it. SonReal, one of the up-n-comers out of Canada, Vancouver to be exact, is no stranger to the scene. Good News features a couple of commonplaces in the blogs such as Emilio Rojas, (one of my favorites) JD Era, Rapper Big Pooh and Saigon.

Although it is only a mixtape, SonReal shows his skills of putting together a good piece of work as this mixtape takes you from a chilled, laid back intro vibe, all the way to the up beat energetic stuff to party to, and then he winds you back down to earth.  Altogether this project was put together very thoughtfully and diligently, and it shows.  Peep the tracklist then download Good News below.
